What is a Domestic Cleaner?
A Domestic Cleaner is a person who will come to your home and do a variety of household tasks, not just limited to
cleaning but work such as changing the beds, laundry, shopping, helping with curtains and generally helping to look
after your home. The Domestic Cleaner will not carry out any personal care e.g. getting someone washed or dressed
or giving any medication.
What services do you provide?
We provide a lady who will carry out domestic cleaning duties on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
A Domestic Cleaner will do your general housework, which includes chores such as dusting and polishing, vacuuming,
washing floors, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, emptying bins. Your Domestic Cleaner can change the beds, do
laundry at your home, collect some shopping, help with curtains and clean safely accessible inside windows. They
will also do your ironing if you wish.
What areas do you cover?
We cover the HA, UB, NW and W postcode areas, plus some of the WD postcodes. The Domestic Cleaner we provide will

Can you provide references from some of your clients?
Yes. Over the years we have received many testimonials from our clients, some of which can be viewed on this
site.
How do you vet your Domestic Cleaner?
We ensure the Domestic Cleaner has a permanent address in their own name. The Cleaners are interviewed at their
home address, where documents to establish proof of identity are also recorded. In addition, Domestic Cleaners are
photographed and references verified.
Can I specify the day and time that the Domestic Cleaner comes?
Yes. We are here to match your needs as accurately as possible.
Who pays the Domestic Cleaner?
You pay the cleaner directly, at the agreed rate, on the day they work.
How long will it take to find a Domestic Cleaner?
We aim to find a suitable Domestic Cleaner for you within a couple of days. Very often it can be done within 24
hours.
What do I do if the Domestic Cleaner doesn’t turn up?
Let us know as soon as possible and we will arrange for the work to be covered by somone else.
What do I do if my Domestic Cleaner goes on holiday?
Just let us know and we will provide a replacement cleaner whilst your regular cleaner is on holiday.
Who is responsible for providing the cleaning products and materials?
The Domestic Cleaner will use your cleaning products and materials. We appreciate that you will know best which
products suit your home.
Are there any restrictions placed on the Domestic Cleaner?
Our Domestic Cleaners will do your general housework, which encompasses chores within the home and does not for
example include the cleaning of outside windows. There are no other specific restrictions placed on a Domestic
Cleaner, but they do not undertake any work they consider unsafe or work outside the home.
Will I have the same Domestic Cleaner every week?
Yes. We will arrange for you to interview your prospective Domestic Cleaner and once you are comfortable with a
particular person, they will come to you every time. However, you are free to change your cleaner whenever you feel
it is necessary.
Can the Domestic Cleaner come when I am out?
Yes. Many of our clients are out when the Domestic Cleaner comes to work. The cleaner will hold a set of
keys.
Are there a minimum number of hours per visit?
The minimum is 2 hours per visit every 2 weeks i.e. every fortnight.
Do I have to provide transport for my Domestic Cleaner?
No. This is not necessary, as the cleaner will live locally to you.

What if I want to cancel the service?
Once we have provided a cleaner with whom you are satisfied our service is for a minimum of 3 months. We
require 28 days’ notice thereafter.
